2025 World Cup - Day 7 Fixtures and Finals Series Preview
The tournament is heating up as we head towards the finals series later today. We look at what you can expect to see on Day 7 of the competition and preview the finals series, where you can watch, and where you can follow the action online.
Open Men
Cup
Australia and New Zealand have finished first and second respectively and will clash in the Major Semi-Final this afternoon.
The winner of that contest will go into the Grand Final tomorrow, whilst the loser gets a second chance and will play in the Preliminary Final in the evening, against the winner of the Minor Semi-Final between Sri Lanka and India.
Both matches are repeat fixtures of the 2022 edition in Melbourne.
Plate
By virtue of finishing fifth and sixth, both UAE and South Africa have a game off and go straight into the semi-finals. England will play Singapore, with the winner facing the UAE, whilst in the other qualifier, Sri Lanka Development take on the USA, with South Africa meeting the winner.

Cup
Australia have confirmed their entry directly into the Grand Final tomorrow, regardless of the results in the final matches of the second stage.
New Zealand will go into the Preliminary Final later in the evening, and they will meet either South Africa or England, depending on how results go in the final second stage games.
Plate
There are two games remaining in the second stage of the Plate phase, with Sri Lanka guaranteed a spot in the Grand Final, and UAE the Preliminary Final. Depending on the results of the final games, the Emirates could take on either India, or Singapore, who secured their first World Cup victory yesterday.

Under-22 Men
Cup
Australia will go straight into the Grand Final, as they cannot be surpassed heading into the final second stage games. New Zealand and South Africa will meet in the Preliminary Final later today.

With the final two second stage games remaining, England have secured fifth spot and direct entry into the Grand Final. They will meet the winner of the Preliminary Final match between UAE and Sri Lanka Development.

With the final matches of the triple round-robin still to be played, the top three sides are not yet confirmed. Both Australia and New Zealand will play England, whilst Sri Lanka meet the UAE, and the results of those matches will decide how the makeup of the finals will look.
Either Australia or New Zealand will qualify first and go directly into the Grand Final, or at a minimum play the Preliminary Final against England or the UAE.
Sri Lanka will finish fifth and play in the Plate Grand Final tomorrow against England or the UAE, depending on the final round results.
