2025 New Zealand Senior Provincial Championships: Day 1 Results
Results on Day 1 of the tournament from Hutt Indoor Sports in Wellington.

The tournament’s format, a single round-robin in each division comprising of five to six provincial-based sides, means that teams have little time to adjust to stay in contention for the finals series.
With each team playing at least two matches on day one, here is how the results panned out in each division.
Open Men
Last year’s finalists Central Districts and Wellington have set the early pace in the Open Men’s Division, both sitting atop the standings with two wins apiece. Defending champions Central opened their campaign with a 34-run win over Canterbury and followed that up with a 12-run victory over a much vaunted Auckland side. Central pipped Northern by two runs before overcoming Southern by 26 runs.
Both Auckland and Canterbury secured one win apiece, whilst Northern and Southern Districts are both yet to register a win. Northern will however take consolation in their close margins of defeat thus far.
