2025 Australian Junior National Championships: Day 4 Results
A recap of day four of the tournament from Striker Indoor Sports Centre and Seamer Indoor Sports Centre in Perth, Western Australia.

With just one day before the finals series take place, here are the highlights of a critical day four.
Under-18 Boys
Queensland remain on top of the ladder after two more wins. With 51 competition points, they have now locked in a top two position.
New South Wales had two big wins, with maximum skins, to move up to second. They face a challenging final day, playing the two other sides in the top three.
Western Australia had a mixed day, with a win against ACT, and a loss against Queensland. Four points behind New South Wales, they will be aiming to finish in second place and secure a double-chance in the finals series.
Victoria lost their two games against potential finalists, leaving a chance for fifth-placed Tasmania, who managed a win today. Just one point separates these two sides leading into the final day.
ACT continue to battle through a difficult week, and although they haven’t won a game, it was good to see some reward for their hard work, when Cael Heenan took a hat-trick against Western Australia.
Victoria and Tasmania will battle for the final spot in the top four, when they play each other tomorrow at 10:45am AWST.

Under-18 Girls
Queensland have gone into top spot with a win and a loss today. New South Wales sit just two points behind the Queenslanders, but with a game in hand, putting them in a great position to catch the top spot. The top placed side will advanced directly into the grand final.
It was a big day for ACT, who had a win, and the week’s first tie, to put them into third spot with a day remaining.
Western Australia sit just outside the top three, and play ACT tomorrow. 1.5 points behind their opponents, the hosts will need to win, and take at least two skins to advance to the finals. This game will be intriguing to watch.
Victoria put up a plucky effort to tie with ACT, but it wasn’t enough to keep their finals hopes alive. An unattainable eight points away from the top three, the Victorians will face either Western Australia or ACT in the fourth-place playoff.

Under-16 Boys
It was a big day for Western Australia, who have moved from fourth to first after two big wins.
Queensland Maroon sit in second place after two important wins. Having played seven matches already, they’ll be relying on various results around them, but they cannot miss out on a top four spot. Maroon’s Koby Williams took a hat-trick against ACT.
Victoria Green played one game today and defeated ACT in a critical top-four clash.
ACT suffered their first two losses of the week, and have fallen to fourth, with two big games ahead of them. A win can guarantee their finals spot.
South Australia suffered an early loss, but won their second game to keep their finals hopes alive. They sit in fifth place, nine points away from the ACT.
New South Wales won an important game today, to put a seven-point gap between them and the remaining teams. They’re extremely likely to be playing off in the Plate Final.
Queensland White pulled off their first win today over Tasmania. While both teams are out of the finals race, the battle for seventh will be important if they want to contest in the Plate Finals Series (where 6th plays 7th, and the winner plays 5th).
Victoria Red are winless so far, however, if they can beat Queensland White tomorrow, they are a good chance of competing in the Plate Finals Series.
All sides have two games tomorrow, with the exception of Queensland Maroon and Victoria Red.

Under-16 Girls
Queensland remain on top after a loss against Western Australia today. They play two games tomorrow and will hope to maintain their lead, which would give them a day off before the Grand Final.
New South Wales have won two games to launch into second, after not being in the top three at the start of the day. While they only have one game tomorrow, it puts them in a great position to play in the finals series.
Victoria played one game today and beat South Australia in an absolute thriller, which keeps them in third position. Victoria have two matches tomorrow.
Western Australia had a win and a loss today, and are just a point outside of the top three.
South Australia had a heart-breaking loss in their only game today. They come up against Western Australia tomorrow who they can jump over to finish fourth with a win.
We are set for a thrilling final day with all sides separated by just ten points.

Under-14 Boys
New South Wales have stamped their authority on the tournament, with another win to put themselves 14 points clear at the top. The Blues have won seven games in a row, and lost just one skin.
Queensland Maroon won their game today which sees them jump up to second, almost guaranteeing their finals spot.
Victoria Green did not play today but dropped just one spot to third.
Western Australia defeated Queensland White in a tight battle to maintain their spot at fourth. Zack Phillips and Harrison Smith held their nerve to chase the target in the last over.
Tasmania won an important mid-table clash against South Australia by just nine runs. The Tasmanians move to fifth in an exchange of positions with the South Australians.
Queensland White, ACT, and Victoria Red, lost their matches, and will now battle for seventh spot to sneak into the Plate Finals Series.

Under-14 Girls
There was no ladder movement in the Under-14 Girls today, with New South Wales winning two matches to put themselves 18 points clear on top.
The Blues whacked a massive ten sevens in their win against Western Australia, with Jessica Kennedy taking a hat-trick.
Queensland won their first game on day four, but then lost against Victoria. The gap between second and third remains very close.
South Australia and Western Australia both played just one game today, with neither coming away with a win. With just one game to go, the nine-point gap will be too large to overcome on the final day of round-robin play.
