2025 Australian Junior National Championships: Day 2 Results
A recap of day two of the tournament from Striker Indoor Sports Centre and Seamer Indoor Sports Centre in Perth, Western Australia.

Under-18 Boys
Queensland have continued their fine start to the tournament, with two more big wins on day two.
Hosts Western Australia and New South Wales both received their first loss today. Western Australia went down comfortably to Queensland, before taking down New South Wales in a later clash, who earlier had won a one-run thriller against Victoria. Both sit in the top three after their two wins yesterday.
Tasmania are in the top four for now, after achieving their first win of the week in style, including a tournament-high skin of 59.
Victoria had a much improved day - a narrow loss, before recording their first win, against the Tasmanians.
ACT will need a big day three, after losing their fourth game in a row.

Under-18 Girls
Last year’s finalists, New South Wales remain on top of the ladder with a big win over Western Australia. Queensland were dominant on Day 2, winning both of their matches to consolidate their spot in the top two, 10 points clear of third.
The battle for third will be one to watch this week, with the remaining sides - ACT, Western Australia, and Victoria, separated by just 2 points.
The defending champions, Victoria, got their first win of the tournament, defeating ACT by just six runs.

Under-16 Boys
Western Australia sit at the top of the table with a win over Tasmania. Not far behind is Victoria Green, who defeated Victoria Red in an all-Victorian affair. The hosts face Victoria Green tomorrow, in an important match-up for both sides.
ACT defeated Queensland White comfortably to put themselves into third after just two games played. Queensland Maroon round out the top four with a heart-stopping one-run victory over New South Wales.
New South Wales, Queensland White, and Victoria Red are all yet to win a game, but will look to get their tournament going on Day 3.
South Australia did not play today and sit fifth.

Under-16 Girls
Easily the closest division so far this week, the Under-16 Girls are separated by just five points from first to last, with early indications that the title could come from any of the competing states.
Western Australia now sit at the top of the table after defeating Victoria, who are third after leading at the end of day one.
The match of the day was between Queensland and New South Wales, where the Blues were victorious by one-run in a run-fest which featured 281 run an incredible display of batting between the two sides.
South Australia took their first win of the tournament over New South Wales and whilst they are currently in last place, the evenness of this division keeps them just a win away from Western Australia in top spot.

Under-14 Boys
It was a destructive day in the Under-14 Boys division, with the margin of victory across the eight matches exceeding 45 runs.
New South Wales head the table after another two big wins, producing an average-winning margin of over 99 runs per game so far.
Victoria Green’s Sebastian Khaw took a hat-trick against Victoria Red, as his team sit in second place, having won both games today.
Queensland Maroon suffered their first loss, against New South Wales, but are still in third after defeating Victoria Red in their later game.
South Australia round out the top four, having played just one game today and defeating ACT. They will look to be confident they can advance up the table with a game in hand.
Queensland White and Western Australia both managed their first win today, with comprehensive wins and securing all four skins. They are fifth and sixth respectively.
After winning their only game on day one, Tasmania and ACT both suffered two heavy defeats. Victoria Red are yet to pick up a win.

Under-14 Girls
New South Wales have now defeated every opponent in the division, establishing themselves as the championship favourites after the first two days. They are nine points clear at the top, with an average total of over 146 per match.
South Australia had another even day, with one win and one loss, and move up to second place, having played four games.
Queensland have played just the three games, but suffered their first loss today against New South Wales.
Victoria, although fourth, will have some confidence after getting their first win today, with also a game in hand.
Western Australia are winless, but have had a couple of close losses to date.
